Nobel Prize Winner

Established by the Swedish inventor and industrialist, Alfred Noble (1833-1896), the Nobel Prize has been awarded annually to people and organisations since 1901. The prizes are awarded to people from the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, and literature, and also for efforts towards peace. The prizes are considered to be the most prestigious awards that can be received and are presented each year on 10th December, the day on which Alfred Nobel died.
