The jury’s recognition reflects not only the hotel’s outstanding reputation on Lake Lucerne, but also the unique interplay of historic charm, modern luxury, bespoke architecture, and world-class cuisine – exemplified by the award-winning focus ATELIER.

Our sister property, the elegant Palais Coburg in the heart of Vienna, was recognised in the category «Luxury City Palais» – a remarkable confirmation of the outstanding quality and high standards upheld across the entire Hospitality Vision Lake Lucerne AG (HVLL) group.
Especially noteworthy: this distinction comes at a time of exciting transformation. Since January 2025, the iconic five-star-superior hotel has been undergoing a comprehensive renovation of its suites and residences. Starting in December 2025, guests can look forward to an even more exclusive experience – in the hotel’s traditional historic setting, now revitalised with fresh splendour.
Despite the structural upgrades, the soul of the house remains intact: gourmet venues including the two-Michelin-starred and five-toque-awarded Silvio Nickol Gourmetrestaurant and the beloved Clementine im Glashaus remain open to guests.
The impressive event spaces – including the historic casemates and opulent banquet halls – continue to host celebrations, exclusive gatherings, and culinary highlights.

HVLL CEO Urs Langenegger honoured as «101 Icon Hotelier of the Year»
A very special honour was bestowed upon our CEO, Urs Langenegger: the jury named him «Iconic Hotelier of the Year» – in recognition of his visionary leadership, innovative spirit, and deep understanding of first-class hospitality. The keynote speech was delivered by Karin Pühringer, board member of the Lake Lucerne Institute (LLUI), who praised his exceptional contributions to the industry and his long-term vision.
For more than twelve years, Urs Langenegger played a key role in shaping the Park Hotel Vitznau into a leader in international luxury hospitality. Now, he is bringing the same passion to a new chapter in Vienna – with the clear goal of setting new standards there as well.
